Ellison's Cave
At the bottom of Ellison Cave Fantastic Pit (586 feet) with just Chris and I in Georgia State’s Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA. Other rappels include the Warm-up Pit, at 125 feet, and a 40-foot climb.

When I was on rappel, the first 200 feet or so was smooth. I noticed a little infeeder off to my left, spitting a fair amount of water. It wasn’t until I rappelling next to the waterfall, that I was concerned. After a few seconds, I could see that the waterfall was getting closer and closer to me, and soon enough I was rappelling in it!

When I reached the bottom, we signed the book and explored a little to warm up. We were both avoiding climbing 400 feet or so in the waterfall. Chris climbed on top and I was on bottom during our tandem climb. But I think I got the raw deal, as I ate his cave mud being washed onto me the entire climb!
