  1. I like this page very much. Being a 5th generation member of my family to live in Thompson Valley Virginia. Your site is truly amazing! As a child I was always curious about caves. As a youth my siblings and I almost daily set out for adventure. The pastures and mountains entertained us. Occasionally we would come across caves our parents and grandparents didn’t warn us about. As a not so smart kid, with strength in numbers attitude with cousins and siblings we adventured into three of these caves that we not warned about. Looking back stupid I know. This is why your site is amazing. It takes fear and danger out of the equation. I can safely view from the internet. Thank You! By any chance have you heard of or been in the Higginbotham #1 (Devil’s Slide) or Cool Caves? As kids we was warned about Higginbotham. It was directly located behind my Great Grand mother’s home.

  2. Thanks Steven! Caving is awesome, as you can tell from my experiences here in the underground world.
I’ve heard of all Higginbotham caves (4 of them) in West Virginia, but haven’t been to any. There’s so many caves and so little time!
