This is the director’s assistant to the local animal shelter in Corbin, Ky. She reacting to the horrid stench inside this kennel. Dog breeders were busted by state and federal agencies for violating animal rights and waste removal practices. The people had it set up to flush hundreds of dog’s urine and feces straight into a creek in their back yard.

These poor pooches were in horrible conditions, underfed, no water and packed into tiny spaces with almost no sanitary conditions, as you can see their feces all over the place.

There were many dogs that had to be put down, like this little guy here. He was so sweet and happy to be touched by anyone, even during this photo. I would not be surprised if it was the first time he’s been touched by a human. He had major health issues from inbreeding. Notice he has no lower jaw and the infection in his eye.
