A photo of my exiting a small hole in Paxton’s Cave. This cave is highly decorated and a huge treat to visit!

Below is me cheezing it up next to a huge stalagmite called Floyd Collins’ Ghost.

Trout Cave

The very sexy Trout Cave entrance. One of my favorite places on Earth!

And below is an endangered Virginia Long-eared bat. He’s got his ears tucked in, so you cannot see them very well.

Bridge Day

My first Bridge Day in West Virginia! Bridge Day is the largest one-day festival in West Virginia. On the third Saturday in October, they close down the bridge to traffic and open it up to rappellers and BASE jumpers to have fun on the 876-foot tall structure!

The New River Gorge Bridge is the world’s third longest steel arch bridge with a main span of 1,700 feet. At 876 feet above the New River, the New River Gorge Bridge is the third highest bridge in the United States and the thirteenth highest bridge in the world.

Below is members from my team walking to the Bridge early in the morning to rig our rope.

Cass Cave

A Fall VAR trip into Cass Cave. Several people have died in this cave from rigging the main drop (a 159-foot drop) in a waterfall.

Below is me trying to reach the rope to rig into the top of the drop.

Fargo Pit & Will's Welsh Well

Walking to some pits in Jackson County. Ala., during the TAG Fall Cave-In.

Our main objective — Fargo Pit, 219 feet deep. Aaron Moses and Carl Cornett, both of Virginia, we met at the event and caved with. Interesting how we travel 8 hours away to meet people who live near us. But hey, that’s caving!
