The next day we drive around Nantahala National Forest and found the view of Whiteside Mountain from below.
Here is Whitewater Falls on the Whitewater River in Nantahala National Forest, is the last river in the Jocassee Gorge area just before you reach South Carolina. It’s the highest falls east of the Mississippi River 411 feet.

A James Madison University ROTC cadet rappells off of Eagle Hall. I went to the assignment with all my vertical gear and even my own rope. The guy in charge saw my stuff, asked me a couple of questions and then was like “Have at it.” This photo was taken while tied off on my rack about a third of the way down of the eight story-building (about 90 feet).
