A whole day on the unmarked trails. I got lost, so lost!
BUT the river I was following was amazing…. It was like I was in the Norther Rockies again! This does not look like West Virginia, huh?

After bugging the Front Royal Grotto members for months about learning vertical rope techniques, a member found this weekend course called “Vertical Reality” in Gilboa, Ohio. Several of us FRGers went. I had a blast learning all sorts of SRT (single rope techniques) to apply to my future vertical caving adventures.

The annual Yee-Ha! Downhill Race at Massanutten Resort draws people from all over the country to compete. It was a fun day hanging around crazies.

This was my first ride, ever, on a ski lift. Yes, I’ve lived in many places where I could have skied, but never did due to lack of funds. One day, one day I’ll get on the slopes.
