More camping along the way to North Carolina from Nebraska. It’s the way to go across the country cheaply, and the way to see the landscape.

This is the Black River at the Johnson Shut-Ins State Park in Missouri. Cool river, great place.

The short pit-stop at home in Nebraska gave way to another adventure to the east coast. I was on my way to North Carolina, for an internship at the Gaston Gazette. … It was the only gig I could find, gotta love recessions.

This I took after I woke up at dawn from camping in Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks. Doesn’t get any better than this!
