Rockcrawling, which is the fastest growing motor sport in the world, is modified four-wheel drive vehicles climbing over rock walls, hills and whatever nature has to offer in the way. The driver has 10 minutes to complete the course and the use of a spotter, who cannot touch the vehicle to aid in it’s movement.

Above driver Tom Diviak and spotter Brad Ott of Ripley, Ohio, try to maneuver off this rock at the end of course called the “Dingleberry.” The team suffered a point reduction because spotters are not supposed to aid the vehicle’s direction.

The crowd watches intensely as Jerry Lee Perkins wrangles with the rocks on a course.

Bonnaroo 2004!

Waiting to see the queen herself: Ani Difranco.

I had the privilege to attend the last real Bonnaroo, while it was still a jam-band music festival. Now it’s owned by MTV and it’s been turned into a Top 40 Hits & crap music festival. But it was full of beautiful music, mellow kats and I had a wonderful time, excluding the drama of my boyfriend at the time.
