After many years of having the luxury to resist an easy eye-candy shot in my early years, I made this for the paper of hotel construction. I was in desperate need of some art for the front. Eye candy, the worthless two-second understanding of an image with absolutely no complexity, emotion or worth, would seem to soon become my friend in the hunt for art the years to come.

A kid at the skate park tries to regain his balance after jumping off a ramp. He did not make his landing. OUCH! This was made my second day on the job at the Gillette News-Record in Gillette, Wyo. I was in big sky country now, looking forward to a change of place and pace.
