It took a lot of planning and Photoshop work, but I made this humorous collage for the cover of the yearly basketball preview. It was fun working with everyone as they were all willing to do silly things for the camera.
In the end, it turned out cartoony like I wanted it to.

Seven people died in a huge explosion at a Kentucky facility that produced fiberglass insulation for the automotive industry. The explosion at the CTA Acoustics plant was fueled by resin dust accumulated in a production area, likely ignited by flames from a malfunctioning oven.

Smoke and possible toxic fumes pollute the air after an explosion at CTA Acoustics. Local authorities evacuated people from homes and businesses for a mile perimeter around the plant for hours.

Ruth Fivecoat, who has worked at CTA Acoustics for three years, watches emergency workers in front of the plant after an explosion Thursday morning in Corbin, Ky. She said she saw a giant fireball before escaping thorough an exit unharmed.

Was were sent to the capitol of Kentucky: Frankfort, to cover locals participating in a protest against a budget proposal to cut education funding. Outside the Capitol Building this little 8-year-old girl braves the freezing temperatures with her family to protest.

Teachers, bus drivers, educational administrators, parents, students and concerned citizens of Kentucky line the steps of the Capitol in protest to a possible education cut-back in the State’s budget

Over 20,000 people were there to protest. It was a zoo.

This is not a good image, but it does represent my longing for snow. It’s been over a year since I had a real snowstorm to play in, so I took this image on the way to an assignment in the morning. I was just happy to live a little farther north so that it snowed since I missed it so. Little did I know that this was the biggest snow I would see in the two+ years I would live in Kentucky.
